Material Import

It is possible to record materials or material movements via Excel.

Import materials via Excel file

  1. Click on the Excel Import button next to the + Record Material button.
  2. Download the Excel file example and fill in the materials in the Excel file. It is important that the column with the material code is filled in. The material code is a unique code that identifies the material.
  3. Upload the Excel file into the red field.

  1. Assign the columns of the Excel file to the corresponding fields in Sanboard.
  2. Check the preview for new materials and click on Import Materials.
  3. Subsequently, the materials are recorded in Sanboard and can be assigned to storage locations using material movements.

Import material movements via Excel file

  1. Click on the + Material Movement button.
  2. Select Material Receipt and the Warehouse where the materials should be added.
  3. Click on the Excel Import button.

  1. Download the Excel file example and fill in the material movements in the Excel file. The first column corresponds to the material code of the material to be imported. The Excel file must contain at least the columns Material Code and Quantity.

  2. Upload the Excel file into the red field.

  3. Assign the columns of the Excel file to the corresponding fields in Sanboard. If the example Excel file was used, the columns should already be correctly assigned. The material code is in the first column and the quantity in the second column.

  1. After importing the Excel file, the preview should display the material movements.

  1. Click on Execute Movement to carry out the material movements.
  2. 🎉 The material movement is now displayed in the material movement history. And the material has been added to the target warehouse.
