Features Overview
Sanboard is available as a Web App and Mobile App:
- The Web App offers the full range of features and is particularly suitable for administration and deployment planning.
- The Mobile App is optimized for conducting operations and accessing operation information.
While the Mobile App is primarily used by members, the Web App is mainly aimed at coordinators and administrators.
Sanboard’s WebApp is accessible via the browser at app.sanboard.ch and has the following layout. All menu items can be accessed via the left sidebar.

Sidebar
The sidebar is divided into a member and admin area. The admin area is only available to members with special permissions. These permissions can be assigned in the Member Management menu.
Features
The following features are available in the Sanboard software:
Member Management
In member management, members can be recorded and managed. Important attributes such as training, driving licenses, and clothing sizes can be stored. Permissions such as administrator or material manager can also be assigned.
Event Planning
Event planning begins with the medical service request, which can then be converted into an offer with a click. After uploading the signed offer, an event can be created. In the next step, a presence query can be sent to all members to then create the shift schedule. With the site plan editor, a site plan with grid squares can be generated. The info box can store the most important phone numbers and documents.
Event Execution
During the event, patient protocols and journal entries can be created via a tablet or laptop. For each entry, the consumed material can be specified. The uploaded documents such as shift schedule, site plan, and the call-up can be conveniently accessed in the smartphone app.
Event Postprocessing
After an event, a summary can be created as a PDF. This summary contains all journal entries, patient protocols, and material expenditures. With a few clicks, a QR invoice can be generated for the organizer. The hours worked by the members can be exported as an Excel table to simplify payroll.
Event Archive
All processed events can be stored in the archive to be kept for the coming years.
Inventory
Sanboard offers complete inventory management to manage all consumables and movables. For each material entry, information such as purchase price, selling price, expiration date, supplier info, and the package insert can be stored. With a simple editor, material entries and exits can be recorded to always have an overview in the warehouse.
Calendar
Exercises and other events can be entered in the calendar. Each member can indicate their individual participation status.
Document Storage
Internal documents can be stored in the document storage. Access can be restricted for each subfolder so that, for example, only administrators can view it.
Bulletin Board
All news can be communicated with the members on the bulletin board.
Statistics
All summaries regarding volunteer hours and used materials can be viewed under the statistics menu item.
Mobile App
The companion app to the Sanboard software can be downloaded from the Apple App Store for iOS devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices.
